LAW 2025 Overview

Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), established in 1997, serves as the premier institution for legal education in Tamil Nadu. For the academic year 2025-2026, TNDALU offers a range of undergraduate law programs through its School of Excellence in Law (SOEL) and affiliated law colleges. Admissions are conducted through an online counselling process based on a merit list derived from the qualifying examination scores. There is no age limit for applicants, adhering to Supreme Court guidelines.

Eligibility

For 5-Year Integrated Honours Law Degree Programs (SOEL)

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent.
Minimum Marks:
- General Category: 70%
- SC/ST Category: 60%
Subject Requirements:
- For B.Com.LL.B. (Hons.): Candidates must have studied Commerce or related subjects.
- For B.C.A.LL.B. (Hons.): Candidates must have studied Computer Science or related subjects.

For 3-Year LL.B. and 5-Year B.A.LL.B. Degree Course (Affiliated Law Colleges)

Educational Qualification: For admission to the 3-Year LL.B. Degree course, candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree in any discipline. For the 5-Year B.A. LL.B. Degree course, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent.
Minimum Marks:
- General Category: 45%
- SC/ST Category: 40%

Admission Procedure

Merit List Preparation:

- Candidates will be called for online counselling based on their rank.
- During counselling, candidates can select their preferred course and college based on availability.
Seat Allotment:
- Seats will be allotted based on the candidate's rank, preference, and seat availability.
Admission Confirmation:
- Candidates must confirm their admission by paying the prescribed fees and submitting the required documents.
Commencement of Classes:
- Classes are expected to commence in the first week of August 2025.
