Admission Basis:Merit-based on normalized Class 12 marks, no entrance exam (NEET not
required)
Eligibility Criteria (As per TN Paramedical Prospectus
2025-2026)
Nationality
- The applicant must be a citizen of India.
Nativity Requirements
- Native of Tamil Nadu:
- The candidate must be a native of Tamil Nadu.
- If claiming nativity, the Nativity Certificate issued by a competent Tamil Nadu Revenue
Authority is mandatory.
- Non-Tamil Nadu Candidates:
- Candidates from other states cannot claim Tamil Nadu nativity.
- Permanent Residence Certificates will not be accepted as substitutes for Nativity
Certificates.
- Nativity Certificate must be uploaded along with the application. Sending it later is
not
accepted.
- Special Clauses Based on Schooling:
- Candidates who studied from Class 6 to 12 in Tamil Nadu schools, even if native to the
state, must submit both Nativity and Community Certificates from Tamil Nadu authorities.
- If a candidate fails to submit the Community Certificate, even after studying in TN from
Class 6-12, they will be considered under Open Category (OC) only.
- If a candidate is a native of Tamil Nadu but studied Class 6-12 partially or fully in
other
states, they must:
- Submit Nativity Certificate from Tamil Nadu,
- Submit Community Certificate of self and either parent from Tamil Nadu, if
claiming
communal reservation.
- Failure to provide these will result in rejection of the application.
- Other State Candidates Studied in TN:
- Non-natives who studied Class 6-12 in Tamil Nadu will be considered only under Open
Category.
- They must provide a Bonafide Certificate from the school(s) attended in Tamil Nadu.
- Community Certificates from states other than Tamil Nadu will not be accepted
for claiming
communal reservation.
Age Limit
- Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2025.
- A grace period of 15 days is allowed for candidates born shortly after the cutoff date.
Educational Qualification
The candidate should have passed all subjects in the Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) conducted
by:
- Tamil Nadu State Board, or
- Any recognized equivalent Board.

Application Process
- Access the portal at reg25.tnmedicalonline.co.in/pmc25
and
register using email/phone.
- Receive login credentials via email/SMS.
- Log in and fill the online application form with personal, academic, and contact details.
- Upload documents:
- SSLC & HSC mark sheets, TC, Nativity & Community certificates, Medical fitness, and
any
special category proofs.
- Format: Photos/signatures 50-100 KB JPEG; Certificates in PDF (100-200 KB).
- Pay Fees: ₹500 (₹200 for special categories) via credit/debit/UPI/net banking.
- Submit & Save: Download filled form and payment receipt for records.
Admission Procedure
- Merit List Preparation: Raw board marks normalized to a total of 200 marks.
- Tie-breaking follows this order: Biology > Chemistry > Physics > Optional
subject >
Age > Random number.
- Counselling Sequence:
- Special categories (PwD, Ex-servicemen) first.
- General categories follow through single/multiple counselling rounds.
- Choice filling (web-based preferences) with ₹250 counselling fee.
- Seat allotment based on merit-reservation-choices.
- Download allotment order, report to college, complete document verification, fee
payment,
and
admission confirmation.

Tamil Nadu Paramedical Counselling - FAQs
Tamil Nadu Paramedical Counselling is the centralized online process for admission into
various paramedical degree courses offered by government and self-financing colleges in
Tamil Nadu.
It is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu, through the
official website of the Health and Family Welfare Department.
Courses include B.Sc. Nursing, BPT, BOT, B.Sc. Radiology, B.Sc. Medical Laboratory
Technology, B.Optom, B.Pharm, and other allied health sciences programs.
Candidates must have passed HSC (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology,
and should meet minimum aggregate marks as prescribed by the DME.
