JOSAA 2025 Overview
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) is a centralized body established by the Ministry of
Education, Government of India to manage and streamline the admission process to premier engineering
institutes in India through a single unified counselling platform. It was constituted to make the
admission process fair, transparent, efficient, and time-bound for students who qualify for JEE Main and
JEE Advanced. JoSAA brings together multiple prestigious institutions under one roof, eliminating the
need for multiple counselling rounds or registrations for different institutes. This not only reduces
the burden on students but also helps in optimal seat utilization across institutions.
