Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (BNYS) is a 5.5-year undergraduate medical degree blending modern medicine with traditional naturopathy and yogic healing. In Tamil Nadu, BNYS admissions are conducted by the Selection Committee, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, through a centralized counselling process for both Government and Self-Financing Private Naturopathy Medical Colleges.

Government BNYS College Admissions:

Seats Available: Limited seats (as per Government BNYS college intake capacity).

Fee Structure: Highly affordable; approx. ₹5,000-₹10,000 per year.

Eligibility:

  • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology/Botany & Zoology.
  • Must be a domicile of Tamil Nadu (special conditions apply for certain categories).

Reservation: As per Tamil Nadu Government norms (OC, BC, BCM, MBC, SC, ST, etc.).

Private BNYS College Admissions:

Seats Available: Higher number of seats in Self-Financing Naturopathy Colleges.

Eligibility Criteria for BNYS 2025 Admission (Govt. & Private Colleges)

  1. Educational Qualification:

    Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology/Botany & Zoology and English as core subjects.

    Minimum 50% aggregate marks for General category (40% for SC/ST/OBC as per norms).

  2. Age Limit:

    Should have completed 17 years as on 31st December 2025.

    No upper age limit as per recent norms.

  3. Nativity:

    Candidates must be domicile of Tamil Nadu for Government quota.

    Others can apply for Management quota in Private institutions.

  4. Attempts & Physical Fitness:

    Number of attempts not restricted.

    Candidates should be medically fit.

Important Notes:

  • Grade-Only Mark Sheets: Candidates who submit mark sheets with only grades must ensure the grade-to-mark equivalent is clearly available. Otherwise, they must submit a Marks Equivalent Certificate from their board.
  • Normalization Method: Will be applied for those who passed equivalent exams (other than Tamil Nadu State Board).
  • Nativity Consideration: For Tamil Nadu natives, eligibility is based on community category. Nativity Certificate is mandatory (as per Annexure II).
  • Other State Candidates: If you are from another state and studied Classes VI to XII outside Tamil Nadu, you are treated under the Open Category (OC) only.

Step 2: Online Application

  1. Register using your NEET roll number and personal details.
  2. Fill in the application form for BNYS under AYUSH courses.
  3. Upload required documents:
    • 10th & 12th Marksheets

Step 3: Merit List & Rank Publication

  • The Selection Committee will prepare and publish the BNYS merit list based on scores.
