Eligibility Criteria for Tamil Nadu AYUSH UG State Quota (2025-2026)
This section presents the eligibility conditions as per Tamil Nadu AYUSH Selection Committee norms, based on NEET UG 2025 performance, academic background, nativity status, language proficiency, and other specific regulatory clauses.

Citizenship
- The candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Foreign nationals are not eligible to apply for BSMS / BAMS / BUMS / BHMS under Tamil Nadu State Quota.

Nativity Conditions
Criteria Eligibility Native of Tamil Nadu Eligible if they produce a valid Nativity Certificate issued by competent authority in Tamil Nadu (Zonal Deputy Tahsildar or above). Studied from Class VI to XII in Tamil Nadu Eligible under Open Category, even if they are from other states, provided they submit Bonafide Certificates for Classes VI to XII. Tamil Nadu natives who studied outside TN Must produce a valid Nativity Certificate and an undertaking that they haven't claimed nativity in any other state. Permanent Residence Certificate NOT accepted in lieu of a Nativity Certificate. Nativity claims from other states Not accepted for reservation benefits. They'll be considered under Open Category only. Tampering or false documents If a candidate is found to have submitted a fake Nativity Certificate or other document at any point, admission will be cancelled, and legal action will be initiated. -
Age Limit
- Candidate must have completed 17 years on or before 31st December 2025.
- There is no upper age limit.
- Valid proof like Birth Certificate or 10th Marksheet must be uploaded.

Community Certificate Requirements
- Candidates must submit Community Certificate from Tamil Nadu authorities only (see table below).
- Community Certificate from other states is not valid for reservation—such candidates will be treated as Open Category.
Community Issuing Authority Scheduled Tribe (ST) RDO, Sub-Collector, or P.A. to Collector (for Chennai) Scheduled Caste / SCA Tahsildar of Native Taluk BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Deputy Tahsildar / Zonal Deputy Tahsildar - Candidates who fail to submit the certificate with the application will be treated as Open Category.

Candidate must satisfy at least one:- Studied in Tamil medium up to Class X or XII, or
- Studied Tamil as a subject up to Class X or XII, or

BUMS (Unani) Course
Candidate must satisfy at least one:- Studied in Urdu medium up to Class X or XII, or
- Studied Urdu / Arabic / Persian as a subject up to Class X or XII, or
- Willing to study Urdu in first year of BUMS course to become eligible for exam.

Ineligibility Criteria
Candidates falling under the following categories cannot apply:
Reason for Ineligibility Explanation Vocational stream or Pre-University course These candidates are not eligible for AYUSH UG courses. Currently enrolled in AYUSH UG course Cannot reapply for the same AYUSH degree in this academic year. Candidates from other states who studied outside TN Not eligible under State Quota (unless meeting Open Category schooling condition). Declared ineligible by AACCC Once disqualified by AACCC, cannot participate in further rounds. Rounds of Counselling
- Round 1 - includes payment of Rs.500 processing fee + Rs.5,000 advance tuition fee (refundable up to Round 2).
- Round 2 - choice-filling/refilling permitted; re-allotment possible.

- Stray Vacancy Round - additional advancement fee applies; seats available for new registrations.

Note: Counselling Registration is allowed only for already applied candidates who are in the Eligible Merit list and not for those candidates who have not at all applied to ASH UG Medical Degree Courses.
Note: If the candidate does not fill choices for any college, will not be allotted any seat during the counselling

Please go through your submitted choices before locking, as once you lock the choices they cannot be modified or changed even if you have made a mistake. It may result in allotment of a seat which you never wanted. (Please note that the choices once locked cannot be unlocked even by the Selection Committee)
