Annamalai University UG Counselling 2025 - Overview

For the academic year 2025-26, Annamalai University is conducting its own counselling exclusively for the following two Undergraduate (UG) professional programs:

Courses under On-Campus Counselling:

• B.F.Sc. - Bachelor of Fisheries Science
• B.Pharm. - Bachelor of Pharmacy

These are the only UG courses for which Annamalai University itself handles the admission and counselling process directly on campus, separate from TNAU or TNEA.

Eligibility Criteria for UG Counselling 2025 at Annamalai University

(For B.F.Sc. and B.Pharm. Courses)

Annamalai University conducts on-campus counselling for the following Undergraduate Professional Courses in 2025-26:

• Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.)
• Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)

Candidates must satisfy the course-specific eligibility, age criteria, community reservation norms, and nativity conditions as outlined below.

A. Bachelor of Fisheries Science (B.F.Sc.)

1. General Eligibility

   • Must be a Citizen of India.
   • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955, are eligible upon submitting proof of registration.

2. Educational Qualification

   Academic Stream:

   • Subjects Required in 10+2 / HSC / Equivalent:
     • Biology or Zoology & Botany
     • Chemistry and Physics
   • Minimum Eligibility Marks:

   Vocational Stream:

3. Age Limit

   Maximum Age: 21 years as on 1st July 2025

   SC/SCA/ST Candidates: No age limit

5. Reservation & Special Categories

   • Reservation as per Tamil Nadu Government Rules.
   • 7.5% Government School Quota for students who studied from Class 6-12 in Tamil Nadu Government Schools (verified via EMIS number).
   • 5% seats reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, including 21 specified categories like blindness, cerebral palsy, autism, hemophilia, etc.
   • Disabled candidates are eligible for age relaxation, fee exemptions, and special reservation.

B. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.)

1. General Eligibility

   Must be a Citizen of India.

   OCI registered under Section 7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955 are eligible with proof.

2. Nativity Requirements

   Tamil Nadu Candidates:

   • Those who studied Classes VIII to XII in Tamil Nadu need not submit a Nativity Certificate.
   • Tamil Nadu natives who studied outside TN must submit a valid Nativity Certificate.
   • Children of Central/State Govt Employees serving in Tamil Nadu for the last 5 years can also apply (with proper employer certificate).

   Other State Candidates:

   • Eligible to apply.
   • Will be considered only under Open Competition (OC) and after Tamil Nadu candidates are exhausted.
3. Educational Qualification

   Pass in Higher Secondary Examination (10+2) or equivalent with:

   • Group 1: Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
   • Group 2: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics with any other subject
4. Minimum Eligibility Marks

Important Notes for Both Courses

• Candidates producing grade sheets must submit actual marks; otherwise, minimum qualifying marks for that grade will be considered.
• All admissions are provisional, subject to document verification during counselling.
• Candidates applying under special categories (7.5% Quota / PwD / Ex-servicemen / Sports) must provide relevant valid certificates.

Admission Procedure - 2025 (BFSc & B.Pharm at Annamalai University)

Counselling Procedure (Common for BFSc & B.Pharm)

1. Mode of Counselling
   • Online Counselling will be conducted at the Administrative Office, Annamalai University, Annamalainagar, Chidambaram.
2. Counselling Schedule
   • Schedule will be published on the Annamalai University website.
   • Candidates will be called for counselling in order of merit.
3. Special Category Counselling
   • Will be conducted prior to General Online Counselling.
4. Counselling Fee
   • Rs.2000 for General Categories
   • Rs.500 for SC/SCA/ST Categories
   • Payment through online mode only. (Non-refundable)
5. Important Note
   • Candidates failing to attend the counselling on the specified date/time will lose their claim for admission in that round.
   • No rescheduling will be allowed.
6. Waiting List & Vacancies
   • Candidates who paid the counselling fee but didn't get a seat will be placed on a waiting list, considered for admission based on merit if vacancies arise.
7. Rank Changes
   • If a candidate's ranking is updated after revaluation/re-totalling, they may attend counselling based on the revised rank.
8. Declaration Requirement
   • At admission, candidates and their parent/guardian (if parents not alive) must sign a joint declaration (Annexure-VII).

Code of Conduct for Admitted Students

To ensure a professional, safe, and academic environment, all students must follow the Annamalai University Code of Conduct:

1. General Behaviour
   • Be respectful and model students in conduct.
2. University Rules
   • Strict adherence to university rules and regulations is mandatory.
3. Ragging is strictly prohibited.
   • Involvement in ragging or past participation will lead to expulsion and criminal proceedings.
4. Attendance Requirement
   • Minimum 75% attendance required to appear for university exams.
5. Prohibited on Campus
   • Tobacco & Alcohol
   • Use of mobile phones/electronic gadgets in classrooms/exam halls/functions
   • Motorized vehicles, including two-wheelers
6. Dress Code
   • Girls: Sarees/Churidars with dupatta
   • Boys: Trousers/Pants with formal shirt
   • Avoid: T-Shirts, Jeans, and modern casual outfits during university hours/functions
7. Academic Discipline
   • Be punctual, attend all classes, and dedicate full effort to studies.

Application Registration Steps:

1. Online Registration Only

   Candidates must apply only through online mode at:

   www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in/adm

2. One Application per Candidate
   • Submit only one application.
   • If applying under special reservation, enclose relevant annexures (I to V) and certificates.
3. Application Number = Registration Number
   • After registration, you will receive an Online Application Number.
   • This acts as your official registration number and should be quoted in all future correspondence.
